RN (Registered Nurse) | Travel | Neuro MedSurg Acute, IL

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Neuro MedSurg Acute unit. The ideal candidate has experience in level 1 trauma settings and prior travel experience. Nurses will care for patients with conditions such as stroke, spine surgery, seizures, brain tumors, and other neurological disorders.

Assignment Details

  • Facility Type: Acute
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, Day shift
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirement: Every other
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

  • Care for patients with neurological conditions and some medical overflow
  • Titrate drips, including Heparin, based on PTT
  • Troubleshoot RT equipment for stable COVID cases
  • Floating within the general unit and assist in urgent needs

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active IL license or initiation of application process
  • BLS and NIHSS certifications
  • Level 1 trauma and previous travel experience
  • Experience on a dedicated neuro unit
  • Heparin titration experience
  • Ability to work with a team in a rotational float capacity
