RN - Neuro MedSurg Acute | Travel | IL

Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Neuro MedSurg Acute care for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have level 1 trauma experience and previous work on a dedicated neuro unit, managing a range of neurological cases such as stroke and brain injury.

Assignment Details

  • Assignment Type: Travel

  • Work Modality: On-site
  • Shift Details: 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend required
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Local Candidate Policy: Local Rate applies within 50 miles

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients with neurological conditions
  • Titrate heparin drips based on PTT readings
  • Collaborate with the charge nurse and house supervisor
  • Float in rotation as needed, performing competencies within skill set

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active IL license or confirmation of application process
  • Specific level 1 trauma experience
  • Prior travel nursing experience
  • Experience on a dedicated neuro unit
  • BLS and NIHSS certifications
  • Heparin gtt experience
  • Compliance with drug-free campus policy, including negative drug screen

Preferred:

  • Experience working with Philips monitors
