• Setting: Acute-care nephrology medical-surgical unit

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Assignment Length: 15 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130-$2,250
• Charting System: EPIC
• Start Date: 9/28/2026
• Orientation: 3 days with a preceptor
• Weekend/Holiday Expectations: Every other weekend and every other holiday as scheduled

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification from AHA
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing or acute-care RN experience
• Strong teamwork, dependability, and a positive attitude
• Comfort providing care for nephrology, urology, and general medical-surgical patients
• Ability to adapt quickly to a travel nurse assignment and work well with a multidisciplinary team
• Preferred: experience in nephrology or urology
• Willingness to float to other general medical-surgical areas as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to adult Med/Surg and nephrology patients
• Care for patients with ESRD, AKI, dialysis needs, post-op urology cases, and transplant-related diagnoses
• Perform bedside report and conduct regular rounding to support patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, nursing assistants, and respiratory therapy as needed
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Document accurately in EPIC and maintain clear communication with the care team
• Support unit flow by assisting with floating assignments when needed
• Promote a professional, respectful, and team-oriented environment for patients and staff
