Description

American Traveler is hiring a Neuro IR Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring at least 1 year of Neuro IR experience and ARRT certification.

Details

  • Work in the Medical Imaging - Interventional Radiology department with 2 Cath labs and 2 Hybrid peripheral/OR suites
  • Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Level II Pediatric Trauma, Primary Stroke and Chest Pain Center, and teaching hospital with 417 beds
  • Serve as a member of the Stroke Team performing Neuro IR procedures
  • RN ratio of 1:1
  • 10-hour variable shifts, 40 hours per week
  • Call required every third weekend
  • No floating required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of Neuro IR experience required; IR-only experience will not be accepted
  • ICU experience required
  • BLS and ARRT certification required
  • Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) ARRT certification preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Proficient in sterile/scrub technique, Siemens imaging equipment, and circulation for procedures
  • Stroke care experience required
  • EPIC charting experience required; Epic Cupid experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide circulating and technical support for Neuro IR procedures as part of the Stroke Team
  • Charge nurse support available Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • 5-day facility and unit orientation (8-hour shifts)
  • Procedural scrubs provided
  • Free parking available
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Travelers must live at least 100 miles from the facility
  • Permanent staff must wait one full year before returning as a traveler
  • Time off requests must be approved through the Manager
  • Facility is known for renewing travel contracts and welcoming returning travelers
