Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU NEURO) specialty position located at a medical center. This role involves caring for neuro/trauma patients in a Level II trauma Intensive Care Unit with a 12-bed capacity and a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. The position requires float coverage to related units such as Cardiovascular, Telemetry, or Medical Surgical units as needed, with a focus on critically ill neuro and trauma patients.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) license, current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, at least 5 years of acute critical care experience, EPIC charting experience, Level II trauma critical care experience, previous traveler experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro/trauma patients, ability to care for patients with ICP monitors, CRRT, lumbar drains.
  • Additional Information: The organization only accepts agency staff who are W-2 employees of their respective staffing agencies. RN candidates must be prepared to float to other units as needed.
