Description

American Traveler is hiring a Neuro ICU RN with 2+ years of critical care experience and active MN licensure for a role at a Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Work in the Neuro ICU of a Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma teaching hospital
• Day shift (3x12, 7:00-19:30) and Night shift (3x12, 19:00-7:30) schedules available
• Every 3rd weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including to affiliate hospitals nearby

Requirements

• Active or pending Minnesota RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• CCRN certification preferred
• Skills needed include care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, ICP monitoring, cardiac monitoring, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Epic/Excellian EMR experience may be required depending on position
• Prior travel experience preferred but not required
• At least one supervisor reference required

Additional Information

• Care for neurological ICU patients requiring ventilator support, continuous IV sedation, ICP monitoring, and cardiac/dysrhythmia management
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Returning employees must have a 3-month gap since their last shift worked as a Staff or Per Diem employee
• RTO should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Pre-start modules are required and must be completed prior to beginning the assignment
• References are not provided by the facility to travelers post-assignment or to former perm employees
