ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment. The RN will work within a collaborative team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 26
• Number of Staff: 15
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Type of Equipment: Balloon pumps, CRRT, Hypothermia
• EHR System: Meditech

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatment plans as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Perform advanced procedures including central lines, medication drips, and cardioversion.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of current hospital ICU experience.
• Must possess valid BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Previous experience in a Neuro ICU setting is required.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Meditech EHR.
• Experience in large facility ICU units.
