Job Summary:
Neuro Critical Care Nurse (RN) in an Intensive Care Unit Neurological setting. This position involves providing specialized post-operative neurosurgical care to neurologically complex patients, including those with stroke, brain tumors, and severe brain injuries. The role requires interfacing between the brain and vital organ systems to deliver comprehensive critical care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment begins on 09/21/2026 and concludes on 12/19/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, and EPIC system experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in neuro critical care is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification, Critical Care Certification, trauma course completion.
- Orientation: Orientation sessions are scheduled on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, lasting for 36 hours.
- Additional Information: Candidates may be required to float to areas of like skill set, such as ICU or Intermediate Care Units, as needed. Experience working with patients suffering from severe neurological conditions including stroke, brain tumors, or post-operative neurosurgical care is essential. Candidates with previous employment within any Johns Hopkins health system facilities must have been away for at least one full year before applying as a traveler.
