Join our dedicated team in New Haven, CT, where your skills and compassion will make a difference in a state-of-the-art Neuro Intensive Care Unit. WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking experienced nurses to provide exceptional care to critically ill patients in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in the Neuro ICU, ensuring adherence to protocols and best practices.
• Manage and monitor arterial lines, ventilated patients, and central lines.
• Administer continuous IV sedation and manage dysrhythmias.
• Perform CVA/Acute stroke management and ICP monitoring.
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias.
• Implement isolation precautions and PPE as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
• Participate in post-neurosurgery management and special procedures such as EVD placements and intubation.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Neuro ICU setting.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is preferred.
• Strong skills in arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, and central line care.
• Proficiency in CVA/Acute stroke management and interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias.
• Ability to manage dysrhythmias and perform post-neurosurgery management.
• Flu Vaccine is required; no exemptions allowed.
