Job Summary
The ICU Neurological (Intensive Care Unit Neurological) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in North Charleston, SC. This role involves providing specialized neuro-critical care to patients with complex neurological conditions within a 28-bed ICU setting. The RN will be responsible for managing patients on ventilators, reading telemetry strips, and performing advanced procedures such as CRRT and neuro-specific interventions, ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: ICU RN with neuro-critical care expertise in a 28-bed mixed ICU; responsible for caring for patients with neurological needs, managing ventilators, telemetry, and advanced hemodynamics, including post-op cardiac and neuro procedures.
- Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certifications; 36 months RN experience with at least one year in ICU; ability to care for up to 1-3 ICU patients; experience with ventilated patients, telemetry, CRRT, advanced hemodynamics, neuro procedures, and managing head/neck flap patients.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to float to emergency department or PCU; bedside shift report required; proficiency in reading telemetry strips; prior experience with Meditech system preferred.
- Submission: Candidates should be prepared to provide documentation of required certifications and clinical experience upon request.
