Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with 1+ years of Neonatal ICU or PICU critical care experience for a night shift position in a pediatric intensive care unit.

Details

  • Work in the NICU/Peds ICU respiratory therapy unit at a hospital with a children's hospital and Level I trauma center
  • Care for neonatal and pediatric patient populations
  • Perform independent admission and management of vented patients using the Servo-U ventilator
  • Set up and manage heliox therapy through invasive and non-invasive measures
  • Utilize non-invasive ventilation including BiPAP and CPAP
  • Perform neonatal respiratory care including Bubble CPAP, nitric oxide administration, and high frequency ventilation
  • Equipment used includes Servo U, Drager VN500, F&P Bubble CPAP, HFOV, HFJV, Vaportherm, and heliox therapy systems
  • Documentation completed in Epic
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 13-week assignment length

Requirements

  • Active RRT license required if applicable
  • Current PALS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of Neonatal ICU or PICU critical care experience required
  • No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Hunter Green scrub color required
  • Facility is a 612-bed hospital known for its Level I trauma center and children's hospital
  • 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates will not be considered
