Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse in Omaha, NE. This contract position offers a dynamic work environment where you will care for a diverse patient population, including those with orthopedic, pulmonary, cardiac, and behavioral health conditions. As part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care in a fast-paced setting.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical and Telemetry unit, including those with total knee and hip replacements, pulmonary issues, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses.
• Prepare to float frequently to meet staffing needs across various units, including 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, and more.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 days/1:6 nights, with potential for 1:7 at night.
• Utilize EPIC charting for documentation and patient management.

**Requirements:**

• Must have 2 years of prior experience in a large, urban hospital setting.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CPI certifications preferred.
• Experience with drips is required on all floors.
• Comfortable caring for behavioral health patients, including those flagged as violent.
• Must be nicotine-free and comply with facility policies.

**Additional Information:**

• Travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• Up to two weeks of RTO permitted, with requests submitted at application.
• Locals accepted only if residing more than 100 miles from the facility.
• Pending licenses accepted, but must be in hand six weeks before start date.
• Scrubs are mandatory; specific colors and logos will be provided upon confirmation.
• Parking permits available at an approximate cost of $55/month or daily parking options at $3 for 20 hours.
