Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills.

Details

  • Med/Surg Telemetry unit setting
  • 1:7 patient ratios
  • Night shift (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 18:30-7:00)
  • 36/36, 36/48, and 48/48 schedule options available
  • Every other weekend required
  • No call requirements
  • Floating to other units as needed
  • Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

  • Active TN or compact RN license required
  • AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required (AHA certification is the only accepted form)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills required
  • Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and line management
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring (unit and remote)
  • Experience managing cardiac drips, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide care for Med/Surg Telemetry patients including cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, and renal cases
  • Support cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including use of rapid response/code teams
  • Participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical care duties
  • General orientation begins on Sundays with online coursework
  • Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines
