GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Marrero, Louisiana.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Med Surg, Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join a leading acute-care hospital in Marrero, LA. We are seeking experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
The unit does not offer straight 3x12 schedules. Travelers can either work alternating 3x12s and 4x12s every other week, or they can work straight 4x12s. A minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele Epic experience is required. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 (1:4 if on a cardiac drip). Weekend availability is required, but there is no call requirement. Please note that float may be necessary.
Holiday blackout dates include 10/31, 11/26, 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, and 1/1. Requests for time off during holiday weeks are likely to be denied, so please discuss this with your recruiter ahead of time.
Unit Information: This general MS unit cares for patients with diabetes, renal insufficiency, overnight ortho, vascular insufficiency, wound patients, and provides backup for the stroke unit.
Required skills include the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and telemetry. Familiarity with special equipment such as Alaris pumps and Vital Sync monitors is essential.
Required certifications include BLS, while NIH and ACLS certifications are preferred. Scrubs should be navy blue or a combination with white. Requests for time off should be less than 5 days or added to the end of the contract.
