GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Marrero, Louisiana.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Med Surg, Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join a leading acute-care hospital in Marrero, LA. We are looking for skilled RNs with a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele Epic experience to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.
The unit does not offer straight 3x12 schedules. Travelers can either work alternating 3x12s with 4x12s every other week or straight 4x12s. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 (1:4 if cardiac drip). Weekend availability is required, and while there is no call requirement, floating may be necessary. Nurses are expected to work at least 2 of 3 holidays, with specific blackout dates for holidays including 10/31, 11/26, 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, and 1/1. Any holiday week requests for time off (RTO) are likely to be denied, so please discuss this with your recruiter ahead of time.
Unit Info: The unit handles general medical-surgical patients, diabetes, renal insufficiency, some overnight orthopedic cases, vascular insufficiency, wound patients, and provides backup for the stroke unit.
Required Skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and telemetry. Familiarity with special equipment such as Alaris Pumps and Vital Sync Monitors is necessary.
Required Certifications: BLS. Preferred Certifications: NIH & ACLS. Scrubs should be navy blue or a combination with white. RTO should be less than 5 days or added to the end of the contract.
