Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring cardiac drip proficiency and a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Details

  • Med/Surg Telemetry unit
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Patient ratios up to 1:6-7
  • Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 schedule based on traveler preference (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
  • Block scheduling available

Requirements

  • Active AL or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
  • Must be proficient with cardiac drips including cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone
  • Experience in large healthcare facilities required
  • Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit for adult and geriatric patients
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates must reside at least 90 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
  • Former permanent staff are not eligible to apply within 10 years of separation
  • Travelers must take a 6-month break after completing 2 consecutive contracts before returning, with exceptions considered case-by-case
