Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced MS/Tele Registered Nurse for a night-shift float position. The nurse will primarily work on the Medical-Surgical unit, with potential assignments to Telemetry, and must be willing to float to the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) and DOU as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Administer blood products and manage central and peripheral lines.
- Provide feeding tube care, initiate IVs, and administer oxygen therapy.
- Manage patients requiring non-invasive airway support and tracheostomy care.
- Perform wound care and manage Wound VAC therapy.
- Follow infection prevention and isolation precautions.
- Float to ARU and DOU as required, accepting patients within the nurse's scope of practice.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Relevant Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management skills.
- Competency in the listed bedside nursing procedures.
- Willingness to work night shifts, every other weekend or more, and float to ARU and DOU.
