Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of combined Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- Manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director reference in the specialty from the past 12 months
- Required certifications must be active and verifiable at submission
- Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate during orientation
- Willingness to meet facility compliance requirements, including background review and time-sensitive fingerprinting
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and physician orders
- Assess, document, and communicate patient status throughout the shift
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support quality patient outcomes
- Prioritize care in a fast-paced acute care environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Support patient education and discharge planning as appropriate
