Join our team as a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse in Columbus, OH, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in patient care. This contract position offers a dynamic work environment and the chance to work with diverse patient populations.

Your role will involve working in a corrections unit of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC), providing care to inmates with various medical needs. You will be responsible for monitoring patients with active oncology diagnoses and other complex conditions, requiring strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Med Surg and Telemetry setting.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage IV insulin protocols and drips.
• Float within the facility as needed and work every other weekend (Friday & Saturday).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

• 1 year of nursing experience required; first-time travelers will have their profiles reviewed by the manager.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS.
• Previous telemetry experience preferred.

Parking Information:

• WB and CXS permits require annual payment upfront; monthly permits are available for WMC.
• WMC: 24/7 access to the Wexner Medical Center Garage - $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days.
• WB: 9th Avenue East/West Garages on weekends and holidays; $196.20/year.
• CXS: 9th Avenue East/West Garages on weekends and holidays; $393.96/year.
