Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day: 07:00–19:30 / Night: 19:00–07:30 | Every other weekend rotation and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit serving an adult and geriatric population under a Family Medicine service with a variety of conditions and diagnoses
• Care for patients including those from Department of Corrections facilities within a secured, locked wing accompanied by a DOC officer at all times
• Perform IV starts and monitor patients on telemetry, identifying and responding to cardiac rhythms including lethal arrhythmias
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Document accurately and efficiently using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in Medical Surgical/Telemetry
• Demonstrated experience with IV starts required
• EPIC experience required
• Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required; maximum of three attempts with conditions applied)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with geriatric patient populations
• Familiarity with cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Prior experience in a high-acuity or complex inpatient environment
