Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift hospital assignment requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

  • Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Requires Epic EMR experience
  • Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

  • Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained prior to start
  • Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required (co-worker references not accepted)
  • Reference must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
  • All certifications must be active and in hand, pending certifications not accepted

Additional Information

  • ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with up to two attempts allowed to pass
  • PBDS assessment is waived
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical or religious exemptions only
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
  • Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine-free facility screening requirements
  • Permanent and per diem candidates must wait 1 year from their previous end date before returning to this health system
  • Background check hits are reviewed, but candidates with an open case will not be accepted
  • No license hits accepted
  • Candidates with prior assignments at this health system may be subject to a required break before starting a new contract
