Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week day-shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of Med/Surg acute care experience and prior travel experience.

Details

  • Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
  • 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • No on-call requirements
  • Float required to Med/Surg Tele, Med Surg Neuro, Med Surg Onc, Med Surg Ortho, and Medical Surgical units
  • Occasional floating to University District facility may be required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

  • Active Oregon RN license (pending license applications accepted)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ACLS, NIHSS, and Chemo certifications preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg acute care experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required, though first-time travelers may be screened for consideration
  • Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
  • Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias preferred
  • Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and PICC line management
  • Two professional references from within the past 2 years required, with at least one from a supervisor
  • Candidates with more than one DUI are not eligible for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele unit including cardiac monitoring and IV management
  • Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility
  • Full COVID vaccination status must be disclosed at time of consideration
  • Previous PeaceHealth employees must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • RTO must be disclosed and approved prior to contract signing, with limits depending on offer type
  • Start date may be delayed up to 8 weeks if licensure is still in process
  • First-time travelers may be considered pending screening
