Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Chewelah, Washington

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850–$1,950
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Options: Days, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Healthcare Setting: Critical access hospital, Med/Surg Tele unit
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
• Typical Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4–6
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum of every other weekend
• Call: Not required
• Floating: May be required between nearby affiliated facilities based on census and staffing needs

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at submission when applicable
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Recent experience caring for adult and geriatric patients in a hospital or community hospital setting
• Epic electronic medical record charting experience required
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Comfort floating between units or nearby affiliated facilities as needed
• Experience caring for approximately 4–6 patients preferred

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg Tele patients
• Monitor patients on telemetry and recognize changes in cardiac rhythm or clinical condition
• Administer medications, blood products, oxygen therapy, and other prescribed treatments
• Manage peripheral and central lines, PICCs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, wound care, and wound vacs
• Provide care for surgical patients, orthopedic procedures, infections, cellulitis, and below-knee amputation patients
• Support patients requiring noninvasive airway management, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and other respiratory interventions
• Perform accurate assessments, care planning, medication administration, and computerized documentation in Epic
• Follow isolation precautions and infection-prevention standards
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient status and activate rapid response or code resources when indicated
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, phlebotomy, and other members of the healthcare team
• Float between units or affiliated locations when required to support patient care and staffing needs
