Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
• Administer and manage medications safely, with competency evaluated via safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• Maintain compliance with annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules
• Accurately document and submit hours worked through the designated time-tracking platform

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start
• One professional reference required from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (Charge RN references accepted; co-worker references will not be considered)
• Must be able to achieve an acceptable score on both the ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (maximum of two attempts permitted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single facility or location for the required specialty tenure is preferred, though not required
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and ECG rhythm interpretation
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care setting
