Description
American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN with at least 1 year of experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications for a surgical unit assignment requiring an active MI RN license.
Details
- 46-bed surgical unit (4N) with a patient population including trauma surgery, post-bariatric, post-abdominal, post-amputation, and urological cases, plus medical and cardiac overflow
- Patient ratios typically range 1:5-6, with potential increases to 1:7 during call-ins
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Cerner charting system
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Experience with patient ratios of 1:6-7 preferred
- Cerner charting experience preferred
Additional Information
- Travelers must be willing to float based on facility census and staffing needs
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted
- Candidates requesting holiday RTO must be willing to work one of the three major holidays
- Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least three years before returning as a traveler
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Facility maintains strict professional conduct standards, and unprofessional behavior, attendance issues, or shift call-offs may result in immediate contract termination
- Required modules must be completed within the first week of the assignment
