Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring VA or compact RN licensure and Epic EMR experience.

Details

  • 26-bed acute care unit with a diverse patient population, primarily General Surgery and Trauma patients
  • Post-surgical patients comprise about 90% of the unit, with the remaining 10% having medical diagnoses
  • All rooms equipped for cardiac monitoring, capnography/end-tidal CO2 monitoring, and continuous pulse oximetry
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
  • 13-week assignment with 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required, including 2 of the 3 winter holidays
  • Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
  • Floating required in accordance with facility float policy

Requirements

  • Active VA or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
  • BLS certification preferred, not required; ACLS preferred, not required
  • Required Epic EMR experience
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
  • Copy of any required certifications must be provided for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care to a mix of post-surgical and medical patients on a Med/Surg Tele unit
  • Up to 40 hours of requested time off can be approved during the contract
  • Candidates must wait 12 months after a prior assignment before returning as a traveler at this facility
  • No radius rule applies for this position
