This is a 26-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit. The successful candidate must have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and be able to manage telemetry patients. All nurses will be required to pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with medical-surgical needs.
- Administer and manage blood products, peripheral line care, and IV starts.
- Utilize Rapid Response teams and participate in code situations as needed.
- Implement isolation precautions and follow safety protocols.
- Float across all Cone Health facilities as required.
- Work in a charge nurse capacity when needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active RN license required.
- BLS certification is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar medical-surgical setting.
- Experience with EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring preferred.
- Must demonstrate previous charge nurse experience.
- Epic charting system experience is preferred.
