Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of RN experience and EPIC EMR experience.

Details

• in in a hospital setting on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit
• primarily Med/Surg patient population on a telemetry-capable unit
• patient types include observation, respiratory conditions, general medical-surgical diagnoses, palliative/end of life/hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetes management, and surgical/surgical observation cases
• typical patient ratio of 1:5-6
• uses EPIC EMR
• night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• every other weekend required
• holiday coverage as needed
• floating required across any Cone Health campus as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required, must be in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• minimum 2 years of RN experience required, including prior Med/Surg experience
• EPIC EMR experience required
• previous Charge RN experience preferred
• teaching hospital experience preferred
• must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• current driver's license required to verify address

Additional Information

• provide direct patient care across a variety of Med/Surg and telemetry conditions, including cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, respiratory support, and wound care
• candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO must be submitted at the time of application; no post-submission RTO requests will be accepted
• travelers subject to floating across any Cone Health facility as needed
