Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within an inpatient hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• Every 3rd weekend required, plus holidays as needed
• Float required across all campuses within the health system
• Patient ratio of 1:6, with some units at 1:7 with equivalent acuity
• Cares for patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, and other neurological diagnoses
• Performs dressing changes, sterile procedure tray setup, phlebotomy, specimen labeling, and telephone triage

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Acute care rehab and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (pass/fail, two attempts allowed)
• Previous travel RN experience required
• Current driver's license required for address verification

Additional Information

• Provides comprehensive rehabilitative nursing care for patients recovering from stroke, aneurysm, and post-surgical neurological conditions
• Performs vital sign monitoring, lab result interpretation, and medication reconciliation
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
• No first-time travelers considered for this role
• RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO accepted
