Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring telemetry remote monitoring experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient Med/Surg Tele unit caring for patients with multiple co-morbidities, including a specialized stroke (neuro) population
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7p-730a
• Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Floating required across all Cone Health facilities
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or compact) in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Remote telemetry monitoring experience required; on-unit telemetry monitoring preferred
• Experience with feeding tube care and management required
• Experience accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting IVs
• Experience with CVA patients and nasal cannula use
• Experience with isolation precautions and wound care/wound vac
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (two attempts allowed)
• Valid driver's license required for address verification

Additional Information

• Provide care to a variety of inpatient Med/Surg Tele patients with multiple co-morbidities, including stroke (neuro) patients
• Interpret dysrhythmias and respond to cardiac monitoring alerts
• Subject to floating between any Cone Health campus as needed
• Complete unit-based training modules during orientation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
