Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry – Lubbock, TX 79410
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), every other weekend required. 91-day assignment with 40 hours of orientation. Patient ratio of 1:5-6. Float coverage to other acute care units as needed.

- Short-term acute care facility with 379 staffed beds and Level II Trauma Center designation
- General medical-surgical/telemetry unit with 30 beds and average daily census of 27 patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility

- Opportunity to work with adult and geriatric patient populations
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required (at least one completed contract)
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Epic charting system experience required
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV management, central line care, blood product administration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, wound care, and isolation precautions
- Experience with PCA pumps, PICC lines, feeding tubes, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, and high-flow nasal cannula
- Ability to float to other acute care departments within the facility
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
- Willingness to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
