Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of MS/Tele experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting on the MS/Tele unit
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7p-7a)
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Required to work every other weekend
• Rare on-call requirement, limited to the first 4 hours if needed
• May be required to float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response/code teams preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and PICC line management preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP and high flow nasal cannula preferred
• Pre/post cardiac cath and cardiac surgery experience preferred
• Wound care/wound vac experience preferred
• Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to med/surg telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius; local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration, with approval based on facility needs
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
• Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval depending on unit needs
