Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 or 48-hour contracts accepted | Contract lengths of 13–26 weeks considered

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Monitor and care for patients in an isolation area designated for COVID-positive patients; stepdown-level patients are managed by stepdown staff
• Utilize Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR for medication administration, documentation, and communication
• Float to other units as needed per facility requirements
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
• Be available to serve on a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team; may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact RN license (pending licensure considered for submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN experience
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must be available for hospital orientation during week 1, including daily classes (24-hour orientation total)
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are welcome to apply; a local pay rate will apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Experience floating across units or within a multi-level care environment
