Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Float to like units based on skill set and demonstrated competencies as needed due to census concerns
• Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC EMR
• Complete all required pre-assignment modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Attend orientation and fulfill annual compliance requirements as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or a valid multistate compact license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 90 miles are not eligible. Night shift travelers in Adult Medical Tele / Adult Cardiac Tele / Progressive Care must be at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in both teaching and community hospital settings
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and progressive care workflows
