Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an inpatient Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a focus on higher-acuity med-surg and stroke/TIA patients
• Manage a patient population including adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, Pneumonia, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney Failure, Post Heart Cath, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, CHF, and Sepsis
• Perform and support specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
• Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system
• Float to other units based on census needs and demonstrated competencies as required
• Maintain a strong commitment to patient experience standards throughout all care interactions

Required Qualifications

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates between 50–99.9 miles from the contracted campus may be considered at a reduced rate for night shift positions in this specialty

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for stroke and TIA patient populations
• Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation procedures
• Experience with Omnicell medication management systems
