Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit, including post heart catheterization patients
• Perform and assist with bedside procedures including dialysis catheter care, thoracentesis, and incision and drainage (I&D)
• Administer and manage medications utilizing the Omnicell medication system
• Float to similar units as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Provide weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend basis, subject to change based on unit need
• Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements prior to and during the contract period

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
• Minimum of 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 90 miles are ineligible
• Pre-assignment testing and online modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers will be considered based on overall experience
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication management systems
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient populations
