Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity Med/Surg Tele position requiring strong telemetry, rapid response, and total joints experience.

Details

• work in a mixed Med/Surg Tele, Cardiac Tele, and PCU unit within an acute care hospital
• 1:6 patient ratio experience required (1:5 experience considered if clearly stated)
• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Floating required within scope
• No block scheduling accommodated
• Mandatory 5 shifts (36-40 hours) required for clinical orientation week
• Uses Meditech charting system

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg Tele, Cardiac Tele, or PCU setting required
• Strong telemetry experience required
• Rapid Response team experience required
• Total joint replacement experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac drip management preferred

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 30 miles from the facility
• No remote time off (RTO) allowed during the first or last week of the assignment
• Total RTO limited to no more than 10 days, with 2 weeks added to the assignment if requested
• Scrub color requirement: any
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• If 1-2 holidays fall within the assignment, one evening shift and one holiday shift are required
• If 3 holidays fall within the assignment, one evening shift and two holiday shifts are required
• Candidates will be notified they may work with COVID-positive patients
• Plan for at least 4 hours to complete required training modules prior to start date
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
