Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring 2 years of relevant RN experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Details

  • MS/Tele unit within a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 18:45-7:15
  • 13-week contract minimum, with longer contracts available upon request
  • 36 or 48 hour weekly schedules may be available for interested candidates

Requirements

  • Active NC or compact RN license required
  • 2 years of relevant RN experience required
  • Two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months highly preferred, with pending references accepted at submission but required prior to start

Additional Information

  • Weekly orientation provided
  • Completion of required online, Zoom, webinar, or in-person training modules required pre-start and annually (8-10 hours for acute care roles)
  • Candidates must work 2 of 3 major holidays
  • RTO of 7 days or less may be auto-approved if not falling on a holiday; additional time off requires facility approval
  • No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment due to orientation
  • Travel pairs are welcome but must have separate transportation and be flexible with differing schedules
  • Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a reduced rate
  • Previous Novant Health or New Hanover employees must wait 12 months after separation before applying as a traveler
