Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float – Olympia, WA 98506

Start Date: October 20, 2026

Location: Olympia, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Patient ratios vary from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity. Float assignment to meet institutional needs across multiple units including ER boarded patients, telemetry, medical-surgical, and more. Weekend coverage required; must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

  • 13-week travel assignment at a 325-bed short-term acute care hospital
  • Float pool position providing critical support across diverse patient populations including adults and geriatrics
  • Opportunity to utilize charge nurse skills on select smaller units with core leadership responsibilities
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
  • Epic charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided
  • Dynamic role with varied patient diagnoses and acuity levels

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license must be in hand at submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Previous charge nurse experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Experience with patient ratios of 4-6 patients
  • Cardiac telemetry experience and cardiac step-down experience ideal
  • Skills required: cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula
  • Must have nursing experience in the United States (Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Willingness to float between sister facilities as needed
