Description

American Traveler is hiring a Day Shift MRI Technologist with 24 months of MRI experience and strong Siemens proficiency for a 13-week assignment in Des Moines, IA.

Details

  • Hospital-based MRI department across the Iowa Methodist, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist campuses
  • ED, IP, and OP patient population
  • Uses Siemens and GE MRI equipment
  • Performs power injection contrast injections
  • Choice of Monday-Friday 7a-8a start with 3:30p/4:30p end, or alternating weekly 5x8s and 4x10s schedules, 40 hrs/week
  • Weekend shifts as scheduled
  • On-call requirement of one weeknight (Sun-Thurs) and one weekend (Fri/Sat) every 10th weekend
  • May be required to float across all campuses
  • EMR: Epic

Requirements

  • Minimum 24 months of MRI experience required
  • Strong experience and proficiency with Siemens MRI equipment required
  • GE MRI experience highly preferred
  • ARMRIT certificate or ARRT (R)(MR) certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • Current driver's license required for consideration
  • Recent hospital experience highly preferred
  • Level I trauma experience preferred; Level II trauma experience highly preferred
  • EPIC or EPIC Radiant experience highly preferred
  • Travel experience preferred
  • Professional reference from supervisor/charge/manager within past 24 months preferred

Additional Information

  • Charcoal gray scrubs required
  • Must work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless unit is closed
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from working travel assignments in another market within 12 months
  • First-time travelers may be considered
