Job Summary – MRI Technologist

  • Position: MRI Technologist
  • Shift:Days | Tuesday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (4x10)
  • Guaranteed Hours:40 hrs/week
  • Contract Length:13 Weeks 

Facility Information

  • Facility: Prisma Health Richland Hospital

  • Location: Columbia, South Carolina

     

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
  • First-time travelers not accepted
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Level I/II Trauma experience preferred

Required Licensure & Certifications

  • ARRT (MRI)
  • South Carolina QRSA License (Active)
  • AHA BLS

Required Skills

  • Adult acute care MRI
  • Adult outpatient MRI
  • Brain MRI
  • Chest MRI
  • Abdomen MRI
  • Pelvis MRI (Male & Female)
  • Cervical, Thoracic & Lumbar Spine MRI
  • Musculoskeletal/Trauma MRI
  • Contrast preparation and administration
  • Peripheral IV insertion
  • PACS
  • Epic documentation
  • GE or Siemens MRI scanners
  • T1 & T2 imaging
  • Gradient Echo Imaging
  • Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR)
  • Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP)

EMR

  • Epic (Minimum 1 year required)

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI examinations for inpatient and outpatient populations
  • Perform imaging of:
    • Brain
    • Chest
    • Abdomen
    • Pelvis
    • Spine
    • Musculoskeletal trauma
  • Prepare and administer contrast media
  • Start peripheral IVs
  • Follow isolation precautions
  • Document studies accurately in Epic
  • Maintain image quality and patient safety
  • Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams

Scheduling

  • Tuesday through Friday
  • 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Additional Information

  • Flu vaccine required
