Job Summary
Illinois The organization is seeking a highly skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist for a facility in Springfield. This role involves performing a variety of MRI procedures with expertise in Abdomen, Thoracic, Head and Neck, Musculoskeletal, and Specialized Imaging, utilizing advanced imaging techniques to support comprehensive patient care. The selected candidate will work a three-day schedule, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with the opportunity to contribute to a Level I trauma center environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday, from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certified as an MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, preferably with ARRT-MR certification. Must possess valid Illinois licensure or be eligible for pending licensure, and have a minimum of 2 years' experience.
- Certifications: ARRT-MR preferred; current BLS required; AHA or Red Cross certifications accepted.
- Open to First-timers: Yes, candidates with less than 2 years are considered if other qualifications are met.
- On-Call Requirement: Yesexpected as needed; candidates must be prepared to meet this requirement.
- Additional Requirements: Proficiency in various MRI procedures including Abdomen, Pelvis, Chest, Head and Neck, Spine, and Musculoskeletal with specific experience in abdominal MRA, MRV, and specialized imaging techniques such as CINE, Diffusion, and Perfusion. Must have Cerner electronic charting system experience and Level I Trauma experience is preferred.
- Location: Springfield, Illinois. Local candidates are accepted without radius restrictions.
- Other Details: Must arrive in Illinois three business days prior to compliance documentation requirements for fingerprinting and licensure verification. The facility is an acute care hospital with 562 beds, operating as a Level I trauma center. Parking permit is provided at no cost.
- Compliance & Submittal: Submission must include SSN and DOB; candidates should review job details, confirm understanding, and demonstrate the ability to meet all compliance requirements, including licensing and background checks, prior to placement. Floating within scope may be required; candidates must be flexible and prepared to meet operational needs.
