Job Summary:
MRI Technologist position in a healthcare facility located in the community setting. This role involves performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures, primarily focusing on abdominal, cranial, musculoskeletal, pediatric, and cardiovascular imaging. The position requires working evenings with scheduled shifts Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, including on-call hours every other Sunday.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM, on-call 8 hours per pay period (every other Sunday).
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists), ARRT MR (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Magnetic Resonance), BLS (Basic Life Support); minimum 1 year of MRI experience; valid state or compact license in hand; candidates must be within a 50-mile radius of the facility; previous MRI experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills: Proficiency in imaging of abdomen, head, breast, face, pelvis, extremities, heart, neck, and other specialized MRI procedures; familiarity with Siemens MRI equipment; experience with peripheral IV insertions; knowledge of PPE and isolation precautions.
- Additional Information: The role involves working with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy. All onboarding must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing, including core items/labs. Modules for orientation are non-billable, typically completed onsite during orientation, averaging 4-6 hours for RNs and 2-3 hours for allied health professionals.
