Position Description:
Responsible for performing MRI procedures with competence in all aspects of MRI, including patient positioning, pulse sequence parameters, and magnet safety. Candidates must possess a thorough understanding of anatomy and pathology to ensure the quality and accuracy of imaging. The role demands excellent customer service, effective communication with physicians, patients, and staff, and the ability to work under pressure.
Required Qualifications:
All certifications are required upon hire: ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) or ARRT-MR (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Magnetic Resonance). Additional requirements include Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, successful completion of an accredited MRI program or ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiologic Technology), and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Shift Details:
Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Mon/Thurs/Sat 7:00 PM 7:30 AM.
Additional Information:
The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to explain procedures, give directions, and interact professionally with patients, families, physicians, and staff throughout the work shift. They should be detail-oriented, able to prioritize appropriately, and function effectively in a high-stress environment. Competence in MRI equipment, patient positioning, pulse sequences, and safety protocols is essential. Preferred experience includes familiarity with Philips MRI equipment, Epic, and AGFA PACS.
