MRI Technologist – Overnight

Contract | Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM | Holidays, on-call, and callback per unit needs
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment in compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging and ensure timely delivery of results
- Prepare patients for MRI scans and explain procedures to promote comfort and cooperation
- Insert IVs when necessary for contrast-enhanced imaging studies
- Document all procedures while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information
- Perform patient care tasks as needed throughout the shift
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Radiology
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Minimum of two (2) years of MRI Technologist experience
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- GE scanner experience required to be considered
- Injection certification required to be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience
- NYS Radiologic Technologist license (candidates must be willing to obtain after start if not already held)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to stand for extended periods
