    Key Responsibilities
    • Prepare the scan room and patient for MRI examination, including reviewing patient data and previous exams to ensure proper study setup
    • Draw up and administer IV contrast as needed; administer oral contrast when indicated; perform equipment warm-up procedures and enter appropriate scan parameters
    • Interview and screen patients for contraindications prior to MRI study; explain the procedure and address patient questions
    • Transport and position patients appropriately for examination; inject IV contrast as required; perform scans with attention to positioning, protocols, coils, and restraints
    • Ensure proper image orientation and marking; enter images in correct order using keypad
    • Prepare complete records for the radiologist, confirming all clinical information and exam images are accurate and in correct order
    Required Qualifications
    • Active MRI Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) — required
    • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) — required
    • Hands-on MRI experience — required
    • Siemens MRI equipment experience — required
    • Current Skills Checklist (within the last year, pertinent to MRI specialty) — required
    • 2 Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last two years — required
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working with Epic EMR
    • Familiarity with Level II trauma care environments or large acute care medical centers
