Key Responsibilities
Operate MRI and related imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images across various body areas, including advanced study areas.
Interview and educate patients on MRI procedures, addressing concerns with tact and professionalism.
Ensure patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications and proper aseptic injection technique.
Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists to support care coordination.
Troubleshoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, coils, etc.) to minimize downtime and maintain patient care flow; escalate complex issues as appropriate.
Support onboarding by training new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators and qualifying their work as an experienced team member.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
ARRT (R) certification required.
BLS CPR Certification through the American Heart Association required.
Venipuncture Certification required.
Valid state license as required by state regulations.
Valid state driver's license (as applicable).
Preferred Experience / Skills
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
ARRT (MR) certification preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience in a high-volume environment preferred.
Technical proficiency operating GE 1.5T or other designated vendor scanning equipment, with ability to run advanced MR studies independently.
