Key Responsibilities Perform MRI scans including MSK, Neuro, and Body imaging for both inpatient and outpatient populations in clinic and hospital settings. Work alongside in-house radiologists in a hospital setting with access to a broad range of imaging studies across inpatient and outpatient populations.
Perform MRI scans including MSK, Neuro, and Body imaging for both inpatient and outpatient populations in clinic and hospital settings
Operate Philips and/or Siemens MRI equipment across 1–2 scanner rooms per location
Perform IV starts and creatinine draws as required for patient preparation
Utilize Meditech EMR and Synapse PACS systems for image acquisition, documentation, and archiving
Participate in a rotating call schedule every third week, Monday through Friday 5:00 PM–7:30 AM, with 24-hour call on Saturdays and Sundays during call weeks
Float between two nearby campuses as needed; may be asked to precept staff as directed by the unit
Required Qualifications
Active ARRT certification in MRI or Radiography
Active Medical Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Texas Medical Board (TMB)
Current BLS certification
Hands-on experience with Philips and/or Siemens MRI equipment — required; candidates without this experience will not be considered
Experience with 1.5T MRI equipment and implanted/external patient devices
Minimum of 7 years of MRI experience if Philips and Siemens experience cannot be fully demonstrated
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with both Philips and Siemens platforms is highly preferred
Familiarity with Meditech EMR and Synapse PACS systems
Prior experience precepting or mentoring MRI staff
