Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and Cerner charting proficiency.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with 562 staffed beds
- MRI Technologist role within the Radiology/Cardiology-MRI department
- 3x12 hour evening shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, Saturday through Monday
- Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed by the department
- On-call responsibilities required as needed
- No floating within scope required
- Uses Siemens MRI equipment
- Cerner EMR/charting system used
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required
- ARRT-MR certification preferred
- License required if applicable
- Cerner charting experience required
- Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Proficiency in Abdomen and Pelvis MRI including Abdominal MRA/MRV, Female and Male Pelvis, and MRCP
- Proficiency in Head and Neck MRI including Brain, Cranial Nerves, Face/Soft Tissue Neck, Head MRA/MRV, Neck MRV, and Orbits
- Proficiency in Chest MRI
- Proficiency in Cardiovascular MRI including MR Angio Lower Extremity with Bilateral Runoff
- Proficiency in Musculoskeletal MRI including Foot, Hand, Hip/Bony Pelvis, Knee, Long Bones, Shoulder, Sternum, and TMJ with/without contrast
- Proficiency in Spine MRI including Cervical, Lumbar, Sacrum/Coccyx, Spinal Trauma, Thoracic, and Thoracic MRA
- Experience with special imaging procedures including CINE, Diffusion (non-brain), Gradient Echo Imaging, MIP, MRP, Perfusion, Peripheral MRA, Spin Echo Images, Surface Coils, and T1/T2 Weighted Images

- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
- Pending license accepted
- Ideal RTO is no more than 5 days during the assignment
- Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
- Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities is required for all travelers
- Any solid color scrubs permitted
- Parking permit required at no cost, arranged during orientation
- Previous permanent or PRN employees of the facility must be separated for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
- Candidates must arrive in the state at least 3 business days prior to compliance start date to complete fingerprinting requirements
