Job Title: MRI Technologist – Radiology/Cardiology Contract Type: Travel / Temporary

Start Date: 11/24/2025
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Schedule:

  • Shifts: Day (4x10, 06:30–17:00) and Night (4x10, 20:30–06:30)

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

  • On-Call: Required (2200–0630)

  • Block Scheduling: Not available

  • Orientation: 40 hours

Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist will perform a variety of advanced magnetic resonance imaging procedures with a focus on cardiac and pediatric cardiac MRI. The role requires expertise in advanced imaging techniques, patient care for a diverse population (neonates through adults), and proficiency with GE and Siemens MRI systems. The technologist will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders, department protocols, and safety standards.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Cardiac MRI (with and without contrast) and Cardiac MRI with Stress (with and without contrast).

  • Prepare and administer contrast media and monitor patients for reactions or complications.

  • Operate and maintain MRI scanners, coils, and injector systems (GE, Siemens, Bracco/Medrad).

  • Utilize Epic for charting and documentation.

  • Ensure patient safety by adhering to MRI screening protocols and isolation precautions.

  • Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide coverage as required.

  • Maintain current certifications and follow all hospital and departmental policies.
